The Client

Chouffe is a Belgian beer of the Duvel Moortgat brewery group. The Chouffe brewery created by Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts in Achouffe in the Belgian Ardennes in the late 70's, brews 8 different beers, all of them represented by elves. The Chouffe brewery and its elf Marcel have been around for years and have succeeded in creating a real Chouffe-fans community through frequent communication actions.

The Challenge

Always with a desire to grow its community, Chouffe launches in 2020 a new edition of its contest: Chouffe Around The World. To participate, players buy a Chouffe beer, enter the code of the bottle on the website and answer a tie-breaker question. The winner gets a hot air balloon ride.
For the second time in two years, Chouffe has asked Digitag to boost their reach!

The Answer

  • A strategic workshop, allowing us to define in collaboration the message and the target of the campaign.
  • An advertising campaign designed to create maximum engagement on Facebook and Instagram for a duration of 2 months.
  • Launch of different retargeting campaigns, using multiple channels.
  • Creation of the broadcast content, but also of a landing page for the participants.
  • UX suggestions applied to their website to increase engagement.
  • A marker, a whiteboard and coffee!

The Results

The 2020 edition of Chouffe Around the World was a great success with more than 625,000 unique visitors. In this timeframe, the campaign achieved an average of 28 000 clicks on link.
